Under the Kathakar Yojana, Ekal Shrihari provides training to the youth in rural areas through saints and storytellers, who then organise spiritual discourses, congregations, family and community welfare programmes and similar initiatives in their respective forest areas.
The programme aims to spread knowledge, awareness and a sense of community among the rural population, especially the youth, and to promote the development of their cultural heritage and traditions.
Through these events the participants are inspired to lead organised and purposeful lives, contributing to the overall development and progress of their communities.
Why
Young people in forest villages had no one to pass on Harikatha, Satsang and the family and village rituals that hold a community together.
How it works
Saints and storytellers train the young brothers and sisters of the village; they return to organise storytelling, Satsang, parivar-mangal and gram-mangal rituals in their own forest areas.
Who it is for: Young men and women of forest villages
Where: Forest villages across India
